I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Around 2010, Annegret started using Domain-Driven Design in her day-to-day work. At the time she was working at a large financial technology (fintech) company and saw flaws in the software caused by a lack of domain knowledge. She created, together with colleagues, an extensive glossary of the company’s work. It grew, and, as she was forced to acknowledge, no one understood it because it was simply too large to comprehend; there were just too many terms. Applying smaller portions to it and calling them subdomains helped in explaining the company’s business.
