Materials are one of the most important parts of the process of achieving a photorealistic result. Usually, for one single material we need to apply a set of properties to give the impression that an object is soft and shiny, like leather, or clean and reflective, like glass. In this chapter, we examine how to set all the necessary settings in a material to give realism to a scene. Moreover, we explore the use of Asset Tracking to link any missing textures from the scene and, finally, the use of the UVW Map modifier to adjust the way a texture is projecting on an object.
