Libraries
V-Ray 5 comes with its own extensive libraries; two material libraries, the VRayMtl Presets and the V-Ray Material Library, and a 3D Models and HDRI library, the Chaos Cosmos Browser. These libraries can be a great starting point whether you are a beginner or an advanced user. You can use these pre-made materials and 3D Models as a base and then adjust them to fit your project needs. This way you achieve speed and realism.
8.1 VRayMtl Presets
Open the file Chapter 8.max, which contains the bedroom scene we were working on in the previous chapter. The VRayPhysicalCamera is set to Exposure value 13 and the Exposure in the Exposure layer is set to 4 (see Chapter 2).
