As I mentioned in the previous chapter, my intention with this book is to provide you with all the tools you need to understand and master the tenets and strategies associated with crowdsourcing. My goal is to get you to the point where putting those tools into practice becomes as natural as breathing. We have much ground to cover, and, as you’ll shortly see, much of that terra-not-so-firma has shifted over the last decade plus. As we will soon discover and explore, this is because crowdsourcing is a relatively new term and, as such, has no tried and true definition attached to it.
