Working with the JavaScript Object Model

So far, you’ve been introduced to several different ways to create custom solutions in SharePoint using HTML and JavaScript. In this chapter, we’ll continue to explore using the Etherson method to create custom web parts along with the JavaScript Object Model. We looked briefly at the JavaScript Object Model, or JSOM, in Chapter 2. In this chapter, we’ll look at how to work with lists, libraries, files, sites, and social data using JSOM.
