I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CHAPTER 8: INCIDENT RESPONSE AND MANAGEMENT
Perfect cyber security is an impossibility. No matter how extensive (or expensive) your defences, something will eventually get through. Large organisations are just as vulnerable as smaller organisations to zero-day vulnerabilities and attacks that take advantage of human nature – this is a big part of why large organisations with significant cyber security budgets still suffer major data breaches that hit the headlines.
The challenge, then, is how to deal with the incident when it occurs in a way that minimises disruption and allows you to get back to doing what you do best as quickly as possible. The combination of cyber security and business continuity is known as ‘cyber resilience’.
