So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Relationale Datenbanken – Daten als Tabellen
Bereits in der Einführung hatten wir gezeigt, dass sich viele Datenbestände sehr gut als Tabellen mit einer vorgegebenen Spaltenstruktur darstellen lassen. Eine derartige Datendarstellung liegt den sogenannten relationalen Datenbanken zugrunde, wobei mit Relationen das Tabellen hinterliegende mathematische Konzept bezeichnet wird. Der Großteil moderner Datenbankanwendungen basiert auf diesem relationalen Modell der Datendarstellung, und kommerzielle Produkte unterstützen den eng mit diesem Modell verbundenen SQL-Standard.
