Chapter 3. Designing and Managing XML Storage Objects

In this chapter we discuss how to create and configure a database, table spaces, and tables to manage XML data. This discussion includes topics such as hierarchical XML storage structures, XML compression and inlining, monitoring and measuring XML storage consumption, reorganization, and partitioning of tables and databases that contain XML data.
