Chapter 17. Validating XML Documents against XML Schemas

In Chapter 16, Managing XML Schemas, you learned how to register XML Schemas in DB2’s XML Schema Repository (XSR). In this chapter we explain the validation of XML documents using these XML Schemas. Remember that document validation is optional in DB2 and that there is no penalty in terms of DB2 performance or functionality if you don’t use an XML Schema.
