B.1 Build Deep Learning Models with Keras

One can create deep neural networks using Keras. The five steps of creating a model using keras are given below:

Define network.
Compile network.
Fit network.
Evaluate network.
Make predictions.

Step 1. Define Network

The first step is to create a neural network using Keras. The deep neural network can be created as a sequence of layers. The creation of a sequential model can be done as follows:

model = Sequential()

model.add(Dense(3))

The statement model = Sequential() creates a sequential model and model.add(Dense(3)) creates a layer of 3 neurons. Using the model.add, one can specify the activation functions also as

Model.add(Activation('relu'))
