Abstract
Cyber security turns vulnerable as a society becomes dependent on automated systems progressively for industrial applications, medicinal applications, and financial applications, etc. This chapter instigate with introduction to smart grid and the significance of detecting intrusion in it. This also addresses the various threats in security and detection of intrusion frameworks in smart grid. Cyber security can be improved by utilizing detection of intrusion to look for unseen attack patterns and actions. Intrusion detection has extensive roles in autonomous forensics systems to identify successful breaches. The earlier cyber-physical system is considered safe but due to vast diversity domain of cyber-physical system and everything are fastened to the internet makes cyber-physical system unsafe. There are various attacks successfully launched against cyber physical systems. Hackers launched many spiteful attacks on power networks. Several security weaknesses exist in all kind of cyber-physical systems. It is a cyber-physical system that includes hardware, software and physical components appropriately integrated, interacting ...
