As discussed in the preceding chapter, the first step in designing a circuit is to create a schematic. This identifies which components are used in the design and the manner in which they’re connected.
In EAGLE, schematics are created using the Schematic Editor. In this chapter, the goal is to explore the editor in depth by showing how a practical circuit is designed. The next chapter explains how to design the physical board and Chapter 7, “Generating and Submitting Output Files,” shows how to convert the board design into a set of Gerber files.
