When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing docker-compose
The docker-compose installation is pretty simple and well-documented. We are using Linux, so we will use the Linux instructions.
Open the terminal and use the following command:
sudo curl -L https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.18.0/docker-compose-`uname -s`-`uname -m` -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
Wait for the download and then we can execute the following instructions to give executable permissions for the program. Let's do this by executing the following command:
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
As you may know, you may be asked for the administrator password. Our docker-compose is now installed. Let's check it:
docker-compose --version
The prompt will display the installed version, ...
