Introduction

As the title belies, the purpose of this book is twofold. First, we wanted to discuss digital forensics. Second, we wanted to demonstrate how to perform digital forensics tasks using open source tools. For some tasks, no open source tools are available. For others, open source tools are not the best tool for the job.
