So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6 The changing role of a digital forensic investigator
The solution
Over the past 3 years, the High-Tech Crime Institute (HTCI) has been training weapons intelligence teams (WITs) in digital triage forensics (DTF). During this time, HTCI has seen a definite change in attitude toward the role of the digital forensic investigator. This attitude change can be attributed to several arguments.
Argument 1
An attitude exists that roughly says, “There are other people who can do digital forensics, so why not let them take care of it (in-country labs).” This argument, while partially true, is the worst argument to have.
