CHAPTER 5 Defining Team Structure
It doesn’t matter how great the vision or tech is for your project if you don’t have the right team. Along with establishing a clear vision, building a strong and empowered team should be your top priority. There are a number of great books and resources1 about leadership, but I am especially fond of how Donella Meadows described it in her book Thinking in Systems2:
“Hierarchical systems evolve from the bottom up. The purpose of the upper layers of the hierarchy is to serve the purposes of the lower layers.”
