Chapter 9. Understanding the Different Conflict Styles
When you are in a conflict, one way to better deal with it is to recognize that you can choose among different styles of handling conflicts based on your personal style, the style of others involved in the conflict, and the nature of the conflict itself. I provided an overview of this approach in Chapter 3. Now I want to discuss these conflict styles in more detail, to both help you recognize these styles and learn when to best apply them in different situations.
