7 Glycemic Control of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus Patients
The neural inverse optimal control for trajectory tracking is applied to glycemic control of T1DM patients. The proposed control law calculates adequate insulin delivery rates in order to prevent hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia levels in T1DM patients. In Section 7.1 a review of diabetes mellitus is presented. The neural inverse optimal control scheme based on the passivity approach is presented in Section 7.2, while the neural inverse optimal control scheme based on the CLF approach is stated in Section 7.3.
