Adding Dynamic Information
Once you create a recordset, it’s a snap to add information retrieved from the recordset to a web page. In fact, Dreamweaver gives you several ways to add dynamic information. Start in the document window by clicking on the spot where you want to add recordset information. Then do one of the following:
Choose Insert→Data→Dynamic Data→Dynamic Text.
In the Insert panel’s Data category, click the Dynamic Data button, and then, from the menu, select Dynamic Text (see Figure 24-7).
Either way, the Dynamic Text window appears (see Figure 24-8), listing the recordsets on the current page. Click the + sign button next to the recordset from which you want to get information. This recordset expands to show all the columns retrieved in it. Pick the database column (also called Field) containing the information you want to add to the page. You can pick only one column at a time, but you can repeat this process to add multiple columns to the page.
