Understanding the Principles of Color
This chapter is more theory than practice, but you will need the knowledge provided here as a foundation for when you move on to Chapter 15, Using Color Scopes for Advanced Color Correction.
In this chapter, you will learn the principles of color theory and how to use color to hold or divert attention from characters and locations in your videos. You will learn to recognize that colors have different meanings in different cultures and how color can not only change the mood of your whole video but also signify to the audience different locations, or even different times when there are flashback scenes in your video.
