OVERVIEW
This chapter covers installations of Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 remote-control, signaling, and power-limited circuits, power-limited and nonpower-limited fire alarm circuits, and optical fiber cables. All of these subjects are covered in Chapter 7 of the National Electrical Code® (NEC®), and because they represent special conditions, the general rules of the first four chapters of the NEC are modified in significant ways.
