Physical Phenomenon in Homojunction
2.1 Introduction
All semiconductor devices contain one or more p-n junctions. The junction family is shown in Fig. 2.1.

A homojunction is the junction formed between p- and n-type semiconductors of the same material. Since, the material of the junction is the same, both p-type and n-type semiconductors have the same bandgap. Hence, homojunction is formed between semiconductors of the same bandgap.
