If you use feedback tools and training to teach employees personal engagement skills, you will promote more productivity and tenure. In my organization, we often use a personal engagement assessment with clients. This assessment enables them to measure and manage their progress with regard to specific connection actions emphasizing accountability, strategic focus, relationship building, innovation, and customer focus. It is most important that each employee sees the opportunity to achieve more and to help others achieve more. It is not about leadership or higher goals; it is about how we work and interact with others, our work, and the organization as a whole. (See Figure 10.2
