9. The View from the Center
Winding up now, we describe here how the various concepts of confluence presented in this book can be integrated into an enterprise-wide, holistic approach. Taking the point of view of a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in a medium-size corporation, we illustrate how a centrally positioned leader, as suggested by Figure 9.1, can help build—or exert influence in favor of—a confluent information security model.
