WU YAJUN

1964–

Wu Yajun is the cofounder and chairperson of Longfor Properties, which she transformed from a small residential property company into a hugely successful commercial concern.

Born in Chongqing, China, in 1964, Wu Yajun graduated with a degree in engineering in 1984 before working for four years in a state-owned factory earning around $16 a month. Between 1988 and 1993, she was employed as a journalist for a publication affiliated with the Ministry of Construction, covering property.
