Die Peripherie-Schnittstelle des ESP32-Mikrocontrollers, also die Ein- und Ausgänge und die verschiedenen Schnittstellen, machen aus dem kleinen Board ein mächtiges Tool für alle möglichen Anwendungsfälle.
In diesem Kapitel werden die Möglichkeiten des GPIO (General Purpose Input Output) des ESP32 beschrieben. An einzelnen Pins des ESP32 können die seriellen Schnittstellen (UART) und I2C wie auch das SPI-Interface Kontakt mit der Außenwelt aufnehmen.
