Chapter 6

Security governance

Governance helps ensure that the planned security controls and assurances are implemented consistently across the technical state and processes of the organization. Without governance, security assurances and controls often rapidly drift as other priorities cause them to be neglected, resulting in a degraded security posture and a false sense of security.

To manage governance practices for security in Azure, you will need to understand how to enforce security policies, manage cryptographic keys securely, and implement backup and recovery measures. These actions will drive security posture enhancement and overall compliance of your Azure environment.
