In many cases, the best way to present data is to plot it on a geographic map. Mapping software used to cost thousands of dollars. There are now three viable alternatives for mapping your data.
• Microsoft offers a product called Microsoft MapPoint. MapPoint is available in editions for North America and Europe. MapPoint can import data from Excel and display it on a map. MapPoint retails for $299.
