It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Template engines are libraries that allow us to use different template languages (EJS, Handlebars, Jade, etc.). But what is a template language? Template language is a special set of instructions (syntax and control structures) that tells the engine how to process data. The language is specific to a particular template engine.
