So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ANATOMY FOR ARTISTS
The study of anatomy is hugely important for all artists, whether you’re a beginner or a professional. Every artist, past, present, and into the future, has and will benefit from anatomical knowledge.
When you understand the anatomy of the head, how the head moves and functions, you’re able to draw it without reference, and the head that you draw will feel natural and alive. With knowledge of anatomy, you can sketch and try out different head designs and play with different compositions. Not only will that knowledge help you learn to draw the face better, you’ll also certainly be reminded of how wondrous our faces are. The face is, after all, our humanity.
