The first edition of Focused Genograms: Intergenerational Assessment of Individuals, Couples, and Families (DeMaria, Weeks, & Hof, 1999) proposed a comprehensive model for developing genograms that included focused genograms for specific clinical issues, and introduced an attachment focused genogram.
