In Chapters 7 through 9, you’ll build your fuzzing skills, starting with the basics of fuzzing files and protocols. You’ll understand how these formats are defined and learn about common weak spots that present ideal fuzzing targets. Next, you’ll work smarter with coverage-guided fuzzing and customize a fuzzing harness and corpus to improve fuzzing performance. Finally, you’ll venture beyond traditional fuzzing targets and learn how to fuzz anything and everything using a variety of fuzzing strategies.
