8 Creating the Balance

Chapters 27 outlined an innovation landscape over the past couple of centuries. Technological innovation has driven economic growth. The innovators have prospered but huge segments of our population have been exploited – financially, physically, and psychologically. In this final chapter, I integrate the many findings from earlier chapters into an exploitation landscape. I then consider what might be our collective responses to this landscape and how these responses can enable a human-centered society.
