80. Influencing at Level Three VABEs

Concept

How does one influence at Level Three? The first thing is to think about influencing what people believe. We know from our previous discussion of human habituality that people are not likely to change their VABEs, and they might. The question is not, “Can people change?”—we all know they can and do. The better question is, “What are the odds a person will change his/her VABEs?” The odds are low. We know that—AND it seems to me we should give them the chance. Most people never engage Level Three conversations so they don’t even try. Are you willing to have Level Three conversations? Are you willing to engage people at Level Three? To me, most other conversations are just superficial.
