82. Active Listening

Effective leaders are good listeners. They collect data from multiple sources and inductively integrate that information into a worldview that drives their strategic thinking. Listeners who focus on a few channels put their grasp of reality at risk.

Most people are not good listeners. Watch how long it takes most people to turn a conversation to their own history, examples, insights, or beliefs.
