Foreword

Preston So is nothing if not thorough.

Where most people would be happy to speak more than one or two languages, Preston decided he’d go ahead and learn—as far as I can tell—all of them. If you ask him for a restaurant recommendation, he’ll send you a full-fledged guide to dining out in New York. I’ve never seen Preston phone it in on a project. He’s always fully engaged and ready to dive deep into whatever he’s up against.

I’m watching more and more of the largest companies out there adopting the Jamstack as a more scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective approach to building and shipping frontends at scale. If you’re new to the Jamstack approach to building websites, welcome! You’re arriving at a great moment!

But I’m off on a tangent; let’s get back to Gatsby, Preston, and why this book is great. ...
