Preston So is nothing if not thorough.
Where most people would be happy to speak more than one or two languages, Preston decided he’d go ahead and learn—as far as I can tell—all of them. If you ask him for a restaurant recommendation, he’ll send you a full-fledged guide to dining out in New York. I’ve never seen Preston phone it in on a project. He’s always fully engaged and ready to dive deep into whatever he’s up against.

This is the first comprehensive book about Gatsby on the market. True to his nature, Preston nails the journey from initial exploration to deep understanding in a thorough, approachable manner.
Gatsby’s part of the rise of the Jamstack architecture, and it’s been cool to see the community embrace and expand the capabilities of the Jamstack over the last few years. We’ve seen Gatsby grow beyond a “static site generator” and become a full-fledged app-development tool. We’re seeing everything from ecommerce stores to app dashboards to the ordering kiosks at fast food restaurants adopt the Jamstack, and many of those projects are powered by Gatsby.
I’m watching more and more of the largest companies out there adopting the Jamstack as a more scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective approach to building and shipping frontends at scale. If you’re new to the Jamstack approach to building websites, welcome! You’re arriving at a great moment!
