Introduction
As organizations transition from experimental “human-to-chatbot” interactions toward deeply integrated, autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) systems, the surface area for enterprise risk expands exponentially. In the early days of the AI hype cycle, governance was often viewed as a secondary concern a bureaucratic “checkbox” to be handled by the legal and compliance departments only after a prototype was proven to hold business value. However, in a production environment, governance is the engine of velocity. Without a robust framework for securing unstructured data, managing model access, and auditing automated decisions, an enterprise cannot scale beyond isolated, risky proofs of concept.
