When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

You have by now probably read most of this text and/or completed most of the activities and lessons. This should not be the end of your learning but rather just the beginning. I urge you learners to continue to seek out any opportunity you have to continue your learning. Several opportunities for further education that you should consider as your career moves forward include additional, more advanced community college or college coursework, vendor workshops, training at professional meetings, and other nontraditional yet formal ways of learning. Beyond that I highly recommend that you join online GIS communities (e.g., some of those you found in Chapter 1) and share your experiences with those with whom you will hopefully interact for many years to come. You might have additional material provided by your instructor. Take advantage of any such material, especially if it includes projects that put all these pieces together.
