Our decision to hunker down to think, research, and ultimately write Getting Beyond Better: How Social Entrepreneurship Works came about for one reason, and one reason only—a desire to share what we’ve learned in order to help unleash the promise of this still-nascent field. From our unique vantage point at the Skoll Foundation, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know hundreds of women and men on the front lines of social change. Over the past decade-plus, they’ve shown us what it takes and what they need to achieve their ambitions for change.
