Lesson 10. Organizing Your Gmail Messages

In this lesson, you learn how to organize your Gmail inbox with tabs, stars, and labels.

Organizing by Tab

As with most email services, Gmail stores all incoming messages in a common inbox. Unlike other services, however, Gmail doesn’t use folders to organize messages. Instead, Gmail offers several other ways to organize your incoming email messages. (And you can always search for messages, which we’ll discuss in Lesson 11, “Searching in Gmail.”)
