So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

After looking at the most frequently used buses to exchange data with a remote device (or a remote computer), we should take a look at another communication bus that is widely used in the automotive industry (but is also used in many other contexts), that is, the CAN bus.
Originally implemented for multiplex electrical wiring within automobiles, this bus has been specifically designed to allow microcontrollers, computers, and devices to communicate with each other in applications without a host computer by having a message-based protocol.
