When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Exercises
- Read the documentation page of the os package at https://golang.org/pkg/os/.
- Visit https://golang.org/pkg/path/filepath/ to learn more about the filepath.Walk() function.
- Change the code of rm.go in order to support multiple command-line arguments, and then try to implement the -v command-line option of the rm(1) utility.
- Make the necessary changes to the Go code of which.go in order to support multiple command-line arguments.
- Start implementing a version of the ls(1) utility in Go. Do not try to support every ls(1) option at once.
- Change the code of traverseDir.go in order to print regular files only.
- Check the manual page of find(1) and try to add support for some of its options in regExpFind.go.
