Chapter 5: Finalizing the Mashup

OK, you are finally here. You have the Mapplets API basics down and have a nice set of geocoded Tourfilter and Eventful data ready to be mapped. In the previous chapter, you finalized the server-side portion of your mashup, and now it's time to build the Mapplet.

Using some of the code you wrote in Chapter 2, you will build a Mapplet to retrieve and map the concert and venue data you've geocoded over the past few chapters. In this chapter, you'll put the finishing touches on your mashup, learning how to do the following:

  • Retrieve the geocoded Toufilter data from your Mapplet
  • Display concert data for all 60 cities in your geocoded data feed
  • Style your Mapplet with basic HTML and CSS
  • Install your Mapplet and share ...
