Chapter 22. Adding Effects
Before continuing on, there are a couple of additional features that are considered miscellaneous. These features are being called effects because they are unique from the other tools.
The Fog effect adds a layer of fog over the top of the drawing, causing all objects to become brighter. The Section Plane effect lets you cut and display the interior of a model.
Adding Fog to the Scene
The Fog effect is useful for casting a light or heavy fog over the entire drawing. One of the benefits of this effect is that you can set a scene with fog and another without fog and animate between them. Using fog in this manner can be used to slowly fade out a current drawing.
Note
You can learn more about creating and animating scenes in Chapter 17.
