About the Author
Kevin Beaver is an independent computer and information security (cybersecurity) consultant, professional speaker, and writer with nearly four decades of experience in IT — the last three decades of which have been dedicated to security. Before founding Principle Logic in 2001, Kevin held various IT and security roles across the healthcare, e-commerce, financial, education, and consulting sectors.
Kevin has appeared on CNN and CBS Radio as a recognized information security expert and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, Fortune Small Business, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Woman’s Day, and Inc. Magazine. His work has also been cited by the PCI Security Standards Council in their Data Security Standard Wireless Guidelines. A respected security speaker, Kevin has keynoted, led workshops, and participated in panel discussions at hundreds of conferences and seminars for organizations including TechTarget, Gartner, RSA, ISACA, Evanta, ALAS, Swiss Cyber Storm, and TribalNet. He has also delivered hundreds of webinars for TechTarget, Spiceworks Ziff Davis, and other platforms.
