The next project teaches you two different ways to wirelessly control a robot. You build a Remote-Controlled Crane that rolls along a tabletop or shelf and lowers a line with a basket or hook attached (see Figure 4.1). After the build is done, you program the crane to accept commands from the EV3 remote control, allowing you to remotely operate the robot’s three motors. Finally, you learn how to set up your smartphone to control the robot, taking advantage of the EV3’s Bluetooth capability.
