I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Reliability metrics
IEEE defines software reliability as the probability of failure-free software operation for a specified period of time in a given environment. Building reliability into software first necessitates defining the metrics by which we will measure reliability, so that we know the current state and we can measure the effect of any changes. Different people have different viewpoints on what reliability in a software system means:
- Conforms to requirements
- Whether the system actually fulfils its purpose
- User satisfaction
