Use the Pages Panel
When you convert a file to PDF format and open the document in Acrobat, a thumbnail for each page is automatically generated. Thumbnails are neatly arranged by page order in the Pages panel, which resides in the Navigation pane. You can use thumbnails as navigation devices when reading a document, as well as to reorder pages, a technique discussed in Chapter 8. Thumbnails are also used to print and change the magnification of pages. To access the Pages panel, click the Pages icon on the left side of the Navigation pane. If the Navigation pane is open, but another pane is displayed, click the Pages icon to open the panel. Figure 6-2 shows the Pages panel with the default thumbnail size.
