This book serves as a survey of most of the key events, but visit their websites. Almost all of them have great “First Timer” orientation videos. Seeing the event in action — what the venue and weather are like, how business dressy or casual the attendees are — helps orient expectations. Many have terrific videos from past panel discussions that can offer wonderful education to get up to speed on the new issues they’ll likely cover. The websites will typically have info on their hotel accommodations, early bird specials, FAQs,1 tips and tricks — all invaluable directly from the source — to help tamp down nerves.
