Chapter 2 The applicant—employer fit

What is fit?

If you hang around with recruitment consultants for long enough (about two minutes is usually adequate) you will hear them talking about ‘fit’. The way that they see recruitment and the way many firms think about it is in terms of getting a good ‘fit’ between the employer and the employee. Figure 2.1 illustrates this concept of fit.
